The standard width of an industrial mesh in rolls is 1.00m; however, we can weave it in various widths upon request.

It depends on the opening of the mesh:

• - For the ½” opening we can offer rolls up to 2.00m of width.
• - For the 1” opening we can offer rolls up to 4.40m of width.
• - For the 1-½” opening we can offer rolls up to 2.40m of width.
• - For the 2” opening we can offer rolls up to 3.0m of width.

We can weave rolls up to 135m length in any of the offered openings. The standard length is 45m, however it can be customized.

The Dutch mesh is a weaving technique that has different wire quantities in the width and length within an inch: For example: 24x110 = 24 wires in one way and 110 wires in the other way.

The twilled weaved mesh is also known as 4 shaft weave mesh and the square mesh as 2 shaft weave mesh.

Yes, with that information we can quote and inform you what kind of mesh it is. There are special formulas and international norms that define those meshes.

In case you have a sample of the filter you want to refurbish/repair/replace, it is enough to send us the sample and we will size and evaluate the mesh it contains for you.

No, the thickness of the mesh is nominally the sum of both wire diameters. For example, a 40 mesh with a 0.25mm wire diameter has a thickness of 0.50mm (0.25+0.25mm). The gauge, on the other hand, refers to the wire diameter."

It is important to know at what temperature it’s going to be exposed and the type of fuel the process is going to use, since it depends on that to define what is the appropriate mesh to use. As a general rule plain steel and heat don’t get along well.

Woven wire mesh, as its name indicates, is produced by weaving wire in its width and length, therefore if force is applied its borders can unravel.

Wire mesh, metallic filters, etc., as all the products in the industry, have tolerances. If the client does not have a specific norm or defined tolerance, TEMISA will adhere to the international weaving norms.

In order to get a qoute, it is essential to ask for the desired mesh indicating wire diameter in mm and inches. We do not recommend asking for the mesh in # because it's unknown what table it refers to (AWG, BWG, etc.)

Each gauge table is unique and obeys the definition of unique diameters and/or thickness. We kindly ask you to request the gauges in inches and mm.

It depends on the environment to which it is exposed. For example: The salinity of sea water can rust SS304 mesh within 24 hours. It is fundamental to know the application the product is going to have to define what the best alloy/material it should be manufactured with.

It depends on the type of stainless alloy. There are stainless steel families that are magnetic such as SS430, SS410… while, for example, SS304 is not.

Yes, we would need to see the specification shown in the drawing to know what kind of stainless type it is. For example, drawing shows: Stainless steel X5CrNi18-10. It´s a SS304 stainless steel (standard stainless steel).

For the standard mesh in stock, the minimum that we can sell is 1.0m². For special productions the purchase minimum is 1 roll of 30.0m length.

For special productions we have to first analyze the feasibility of the product (it’s possible to weave in terms of opening, wire diameter, mesh width, etc. ...) as well as the quantity of material to order.

As a general rule, the minimum order for a special mesh is 30m² (1long 1.00m x 30.00m roll). If the order quantity is very small, we will indicate which is the standard mesh that is close to the desired mesh.

Yes, we can deliver throughout North America. Reach out to your sales advisor to review the minimum quantity terms and conditions to make deliveries outside Mexico City. Foreign deliveries are delivered via 3rd party transport, packaging companies and/or with charge to the client's account.
